Cape May Capturing Romance
At the southern tip of New Jersey, where the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay meet, sits enchanting Cape May. The nation’s oldest seashore resort, the city is a National Historic Landmark where you can easily walk or bike to explore its Victorian and natural beauty. Cape May’s beaches have been one of the city’s main visitor attractions for over 200 years. No matter the season, Cape May is a destination that always captures the romance.
Many of the restored Victorian homes and cottages in the city have been turned into charming bed and breakfasts and hotels. Half block from the beach is the Victorian Angel of the Sea bed & breakfast; all reservations include a full gourmet breakfast, afternoon tea and sweets, and evening wine and cheese. The Chalfonte is a member of Historic Hotels of America and its elegant Magnolia Room restaurant serves up traditional Southern fare, open to the public. The Grand Hotel is featuring a special “Valentines Sweetheart Getaway” package with breakfast, a four-course dinner and dance entertainment.
