Liberty Science Center
Liberty Science Center (LSC) offers visitors of all ages informal insight into science and technology. Visitors can discover the joy and excitement of exploring science and technology at their own pace, thanks to the center's interactive environment.
The LSC features a distinctive building with exhibitions that show science and technology as they exist, embedded in our lives.
It also has the nation’s largest IMAX® Dome Theater, which fills viewers’ peripheral vision, making them feel as though they are traveling to remote, often inaccessible places.
Films change on a regular basis, with multiple selections always available, and Liberty Science Center often hosts national and international film launches. The center also is home to the Joseph D. Williams Science Theater, which shows 3-D films.
The center offers a variety of exciting traveling exhibitions from across North America. Exhibitions change about every three months.
Since opening in 1993, the LSC has greeted more than seven million visitors, making it one of the region's most popular family attractions.
Located within the 1,200-acre Liberty State Park along the Hudson River, the LSC is a short ferry ride from the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and just minutes from New York City.
