Vietnam Veterans Memorial
New Jersey is home to the country’s only museum devoted entirely to the Vietnam War.
The Vietnam Era Educational Center provides a comprehensive history, from news photos and film footage to a collection of letters written to and from Garden State servicemen.
Adjacent to the museum is the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial, which honors the 1,562 New Jerseyans who lost their lives in Southeast Asia during the conflict.
The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial and the Vietnam Era Educational Center are companion projects that compliment one another.
The memorial honors the sacrifices made by New Jersey residents who gave their lives while serving in Southeast Asia and, at the same time, pays tribute to all who have served.
Its companion project, the educational center, provides a setting in which to present factual, accurate and unbiased information about the Vietnam era and the veterans who served during that time period (1959-1975).
Both the museum and memorial are located at One Memorial Lane (Garden State Pky. Exit 116) in Holmdel, close to the PNC Bank Arts Center.
