Liberty Science Center is NJ's most visited museum with hands on fun for ages 2 and up.
Featuring a mini zoo full of live creatures, huge aqauriums, the nation's LARGEST IMAX Dome Theater, and a pitch-black, crawl-through maze, the Center has 12 galleries full of hands-on science and technology exhibits. There is even a gallery reserved for children ages 2-5.
Families can isolate real plant DNA, try their hands at robotic surgery, enjoy free Live Science demonstrations all day, encounter a roaming Pocket Scientist with mini experiments to show, and more. LSC also has decks overlooking Liberty State Park and lower Manhattan (seasonal), a full-service cafe and an expansive gift shop.
LSC is adjacent to the NJ Turnpike in Jersey City at Exit 14C (from Newark Liberty Airport and the west) or accessible at 14B (from NYC and the east). It is also served by the Hudson Bergen Light Rail, with the Liberty State Park Station just steps away from the building.
