The Wildwoods' five-mile island is a haven for summer family fun. Throughout the Wildwoods there are dozens of special events every month throughout the year including the annual National Marbles Tournament or the Wildwoods Baby Parade to mention just two.
North Wildwood introduced the state's first beach tram service. For history lovers there's the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse with its beautiful lighthouse gardens. Nightlife brings oldies music, rock and roll and ethnic sing-a-longs.
The City of Wildwood is famous for its beach and 2.5-mile boardwalk, which has breathtaking amusement rides, including the east coast's tallest Ferris wheel, specialty shops, eateries, theaters and water parks.Holly Beach Station Mall offers many restaurants, shops, and nightclubs with a variety of live entertainment, coffee houses and street festivals.
In the Borough of Wildwood Crest the featured attractions are rest and relaxation in this easy going and picturesque part of the island. There are ocean front accommodations, modern motels, hotels and condominiums.
There’s the famous Doo Wop Museum and scores of accommodations. Sunset Lake offers jet skiing, water skiing, and boating. And there's plenty of sport fishing. Entertainment is regularly scheduled at Crest Pier and the Gazebo throughout the summer months and includes outdoor music and dancing.
