Liberty Science Center (LSC) in Jersey City offers visitors of all ages informal insight into science and technology. Visitors can discover the joy and excitement of exploring science and technology at their own pace, thanks to the center's interactive environment.
The LSC features a distinctive building with exhibitions that show science and technology as they exist, embedded in our lives. Through temporary and permanent exhibits, you can learn all about the world around you, from microbes to pixels to the universe.
Liberty Science Center is also home to the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, the largest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere, boasting a resolution of 88 million pixels for life-like experiences.
You can also take a seat in the LSC Giant Dome Theater to watch a film or laser show, or catch a 3D movie in the Joseph D. Williams Science Theater. And while you're here, make sure to see the Dynamic Earth, a 6-foot globe that displays real-time data to show a month's worth of dramatic forces: hurricanes, volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis.
Need to refuel after a morning of hands-on learning? The onsite Cafe Skylines offers healthy lunch and snacks, from oven-fired pizza to fresh salads.
