Essex County Rose Garden at Brookdale Park

Everything is literally coming up roses here from June to September. 25 separate planting beds showcase more than 500 bushes representing nearly 150 rose varieties. You can thank the New Jersey Rose Society, Essex County Parks Department, Master Gardeners of Essex County, the Brookdale Conservancy and the general public for this showy display.
Frelinghuysen Arboretum

June brides can find all their bouquet inspiration in these gardens with a profusion of oakleaf hydrangea, astilbe ābridal veil,ā stewartia pseudocamelia and Calycanthus raulstonii. While July ushers in coneflowers, asclepias, campsis radicans, water lilies, hibiscus and more luscious blossoms. Return in August for the blooming urn plant, okra flower and butterfly bushes which do, in fact, attract fluttering friends.
