Bernardsville

Bernardsville is an elegant and sophisticated borough embedded in beautiful Somerset County. The community is currently home to 7,800 residents and is enriched with exquisite architecture and lavish parks.

The Nervine Memorial Park was dedicated in honor of the borough’s former mayor in 1988. The park accommodates visitors with seating around Borough Pond overlooking weeping willows and wonderful views.

Cross Estate Gardens, a product of the New Jersey Historical Garden Foundation and the National Park Service, offers free dusk to dawn entries and free parking for perusing the estate’s formal and native gardens.

Bernardsville offers a variety of recreational activities and is home to the New Jersey Audubon’s Scherman Hoffman Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary trails guide visitors through the 276 acres of forest and floodplains where they can observe over 200 species of wildlife in their natural habitat.

Restauranteurs have injected fine dining into the borough’s culture with cuisine that introduces patrons to flavors from France, Italy, Japan and Spain. The Bernard’s Inn, Sette Cucina Italiana, and Osteria Morini are popular fine dining destinations for locals and tourists.
