Cranford

The Rahway Rive winds through the center of the community and is home to numerous parks along the wildlife enriched waterway. The Rahway River Parkway, Jacksons Pond and Bloodgoods Pond provide boating, canoeing, fishing and hiking opportunities for visitors and residents. The Cranford Canoe Club rents kayaks and canoes to members of the public who are interested in navigating the river from within the shorelines.

Nomahegan Park is a popular destination within the township. The park’s hiking trails, picnic areas, bike paths, athletic fields and playgrounds are a serene getaway from everyday life. Nomahegan’s blank winter canvas erupts with colorful blossoms in the spring and paints the skyline with saturated hues of foliage in the fall.

Cranford’s Community Events Calendar is full of year-round activities for the entire family. The Cranford 4th of July Celebration, Cruiser Nights, Cranford Street Fairs and KidsFest are just a few of the happenings that bring the town together.
