Hackettstown

Hackettstown is a historical and quaint destination located in Warren County.

The town is home to Centenary University whose campus encompasses roughly 42 acres and also boasts an equestrian center which spans approximately 65 acres. The coeducational college currently offers baccalaureate and master degree programs for students at it’s NCAA Division III institution.

The Mars Chocolate North America plant was constructed in Hackettstown in 1958. The site is a popular attraction in the community but doesn’t offer tours of the facility. Visit the My M&M’s store on High Street for a fresh sample of chocolate.

Stephens State Park offers more than 800 acres of camping, fishing, hiking, canoeing and climbing activities for recreational enthusiasts. Stone peninsulas extend into the Musconetcong River and protect intimate points of relaxation for nearby residents and visitors. The pristine views of dense deciduous forests and rustic bridges are easily accessed by the parks hiking trails.

Hackettstown’s Main Street is bustling with retail locations such as antique shops, clothing retailers, jewelers, furniture stores, eclectic boutiques and galleries.

The dining experiences along Main Street and Mountain Avenue are quite extensive as well. Bakeries, delis, bistros, and full service restaurants provide an array of cuisine for those on-the-go, or culinary connoisseurs who wish to savor every nibble.
