Lyndhurst

Between the picturesque Passaic River and the majestic Hackensack River is a community whose quaintness can only be described as Lyndhurst Township.

The bustling community is home to several parks that encompass the essence of a rural lifestyle. Riverside County Park hugs the eastern banks of the Passaic and is home to numerous baseball, softball and football fields. The Joseph Carucci Area provides Carucci Pathway, north of Riverside, along the river’s shoreline and provides residents and visitors with a serene route while walking through the park.

The New Jersey Meadowlands Environment Center utilizes the fragile ecosystem to educate students and the general public regarding the preservation of it’s biological vitality. The William D. McDowell Observatory rests on the NJMEC grounds and offers open viewing sessions and programs throughout the year.

Lyndhurst is just a short drive from Met Life Stadium, the home of the New York Giants and the New York Jets. The venue not only hosts NFL games but numerous concerts are on the schedule for the spring and summer months.

Restaurants in the community are diverse and sophisticated. The 3rd Wave Cafe and Crepes is an intimate establishment and boasts some of the most creative and delicious  creations in the township.  Michael’s Riverside Restaurant, The Colonial Diner, and Michael’s Salumeria are just a few examples of the extensive culinary options available throughout the township.

If a night full of family adventure is what your clan is calling for then purchase tickets and take a journey to Mideval Times. The arena displays jousting tournaments, horsemanship and sword fights while you enjoy a four-course meal.

Lyndhurst’s lodging accommodations are available along the eastern side of town. The Courtyard Lyndhurst/Meadowlands, The Comfort Inn Meadowlands and Renaissance Meadowlands Hotel are local options in the heart of the action.
