Icarus Brewing prides itself on local flavor and fresh, hand-crafted ales and lagers.
Jason Goldstein, founder and brewmaster of Icarus Brewing Company, opened the brewery in Lakewood in January 2017 with just six beers on tap. Over the next seven and half years, the team and tap list expanded exponentially, brewing and releasing Icarus staples like Yacht Juice, Drinking Crayons, Kalashnikov, Private Beach and hundreds more!
As the business expanded, the need for a larger taproom and brewhouse became evident. After years of searching, the site of the brewery’s new home was selected in Brick Township and construction began. In June 2024 the final beer was poured at the Lakewood location and operations moved to the state-of-the-art facility in Brick.
At Icarus Brewing, the belief is you go big or go home (just like their namesake). On average, 3-5 beers are released each week and the taproom boasts an ever-evolving menu of roughly 30 different beers, seltzers and hard teas on draft.
Pull up a seat in the taproom and enjoy a warm and comforting vibe – plus the company of friendly and engaging staff – while sipping your favorite Icarus brews. From the lighting to the music, there’s no other place quite like it.
New recipes are constantly being brainstormed while also releasing old favorites – including exclusive variants that are only available for purchase in the Beer Fridge or bottles of the premium barrel-aged stouts, renowned for their complexity and unique flavor.
The spacious Taproom boasts ample seating on the main level for all to enjoy, while the Lounge and Mezzanine Bar are reserved for guests 21+ only.
