  • Overview

    The Raritan Native American Pow Wow will bring over 1,000 Native American artists, performers and educators from across Turtle Island to the original homeland of The Raritan Lenape Indians. Performers will demonstrate the finest Native American song, dance and drumming. Over 40 different booths will be selling traditional works as well as showcasing traditional artistic techniques. There will be a special emphasis on the Native American culture of New Jersey and New York State. This includes the sharing of traditions both past and present of this region’s first peoples. Highlights of the event include authentic indigenous cuisine, such as buffalo burgers, venison stew, corn soup, and Indian Tacos! Visitors can interact with representatives from various tribal Nations such as the Sioux, Navajo, Cheyenne, Cherokee, Comanche and Mohawk.
