The two-year countdown to the nation's 250th has begun, and we’re racing towards 2026, literally!
Join RevolutionNJ for a 4-part Race Series this year, the RevNJ Racing Series at historic sites and Revolutionary War battlefields across New Jersey. The race series is a 5k race and one-mile family fun walk!
You and your family can participate in history and take home a commemorative t-shirt. For those who do not wish to run, you can enjoy a leisurely one mile stroll across the battlefields and cheer on the runners competing in the 3.1 mile race. Races will be accompanied by historical activities at each site.
You can sign up for each race individually or sign up for the bundle. Registration for each race includes a shirt, commemorative magnet and finisher medal. Awards for the top 3 overall male and female finishers will be awarded as well as top 3 male and female in 10 year age group categories. Entries range from $15-$30, per person; save with the bundle.
SCHEDULE
-August 10, Monmouth Battlefield.
-September 8, Princeton Battlefield State Park, which was on of the fiercest battles of the Revolutionary War. It also capped 10 days of fighting which began with Washington crossing the Delaware River. After the race take a tour of the battlefield.
-October 13, East Jersey Old Town Village. This special historic village has delighted visitors with a glimpse into the past since its opening in 1978. The Village features historic structures from the 1700s and 1800s, relocated to its site within Johnson Park. They represent different architecture styles found throughout Middlesex County’s Raritan Valley. The Village’s founder, Dr. Joseph Kler and a group of local residents saved most of the buildings from demolition and transported them to the Village where they were reassembled and restored to reflect how they would have looked way back when.
-November 9, Historic Greenwich as 2024 marks the 250th anniversary of the tea Burning. Run through the streets of Historic Greenwich... site of the "other" Revolutionary Tea Party.
