Overview
Built in the early 1700s, this brick Dutch vernacular house served as headquarters for Quartermaster Gen. Nathaniel Green during the Revolutionary War in the winter of 1778-79.
The museum has an extensive collection of local, Native American artifacts and colonial hand tools. When combined with the society's small collection of eclectic artifacts, the museum provides an interesting focal point for house visitors.
The Society maintains a library and archives containing an extensive bound book document collection that includes maps, periodicals, photographs, census records, newspapers and genealogies.
House and library open every Tuesday, Noon to 4 pm, and the second Saturday of month, March through November, Noon to 3 pm.
