Millstone Valley Scenic Byways & Information Center

The Millstone Valley National Scenic Byway is a 27-mile loop designed for motorists and bicyclists wishing to explore one of Central Jersey's most beautiful and historic valleys, where American Revolutionary troops passed frequently, and where for a century the D&R Canal helped to fuel the economy the Garden State. You'll find charming villages, pastoral farmlands, lovely walking paths, and proud historic homes. The byway's visitor center is located in the Griggstown Village, next to a quaint canal bridge and canoe & kayak rental facility. Open April through October on weekend afternoons, the visitor center offers a Civil War era heirloom garden, an Eighteenth Century kitchen museum, maps, DVDs, and traveler information.
