Since 1898, Shriver’s in Ocean City, NJ has delighted generations with its homemade salt water taffy, made right on the boardwalk. As the oldest business on the Ocean City boardwalk, Shriver’s is a true landmark, offering over 47 flavors of Salt Water Taffy, fudge and other sweet treats.

Shrivers was founded in 1898 by William Shriver, and in 1959, it was sold to the same family who runs the candy shop today - spanning three generations of candy making talent. It’s one of the rare Ocean City businesses open year-round, so you can get your candy fix any time.

Shriver’s Salt Water Taffy has gained national attention, with features on Food Network, Travel Channel, Redbook and even as an answer on Jeopardy! Shrivers is so popular that the candy is shipped all over the country. Its almost as busy during the holiday seasons as it is in the peak of summer! With over 1.1 billion pieces sold, it’s clear this family-run business has earned its sweet reputation.

Ocean City offers metered street parking and paid parking lots. Shrivers is on the boardwalk and there is no direct parking at the candy store.
