Overview
The South Camden Theatre Company is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional theatre company dedicated to helping revitalize the City of Camden by producing meaningful, professional theater in the City's Waterfront South Arts District. The South Camden Theatre Company stages classic plays and original works as the resident theatre company at Waterfront South Theatre, the first free-standing theatre to be built in Camden in more than 100 years. PARKING
You can reach the Waterfront South Theatre by car or public transportation. Street parking is available or in one of two public parking lots. There is one parking lot between the Sacred Heart Church and the Sacred Heart School. There is another well-lighted lot that is located just one block away on Broadway at Ferry Avenue.
MEETINGS/EVENTS AT THE THEATRE
The building is approximately 6,000 square feet in total. The first floor is completely accessible and holds the lobby, the Domenica Hall auditorium, a box office, lighting and sound booth, a concession area and accessible restrooms.
The stage is small but accommodates nicely-sized sets for plays, music groups and special events. The stage has an 8-inch rise, and the seating is slightly sloped for better viewing. One side wing entrance and exit is available to and from the stage. There is no backstage space. The auditorium seats 96 comfortably with additional ADA accessible seating spaces for 4 wheelchairs or larger seating. Seats are roomy and comfortable with plenty of legroom in front of your seat.
