Summer is all about enjoying the great outdoors. So take a fresh approach to dining and shopping, and go alfresco in New Jersey! Foodies will discover much to tempt their palates—from indulgent boardwalk snacks to Jersey Fresh® produce. Trendsetters can tread outdoor malls to pick up designer fashions and blazing-hot bargains—or stroll through flea markets in search of quirky accessories and affordable basics.

Get Fresh at Jersey Farm Stands
With more than 9,900 farms covering over 750,000 acres of farmland, Jersey has endless unique farm stands to choose from. At some locations, you can even pick your own produce and turn “eating your veggies” into an experience for the whole family. It’s called agritourism, but we call it amazing.

Get a true taste of summer with peaches, pears, plums, nectarines, apricots, cherries and raspberries grown on Mackey’s Orchard in Belvidere. You’ll also find fresh baked goods, local honey and more at this eight generation, 96-acre Jersey farm.

The Amish Market in Mullica Hill is the place to go for a tasty variety of some of the season’s freshest fruits and vegetables. Discover a wonderful assortment of candies, flowers, baked goods, gift ideas too.

If it’s organic, non-GMO, heirloom blueberries you crave, make an appointment to visit DiMeo Farms, located in Hammonton, the “Blueberry Capital of the World.” Buy them by the pint or the plant and learn how to start your own farm stand.

Pick your favorite summer berries – strawberries, blackberries, sweet and sour cherries and more - at Terhune Orchards in Princeton. Stop by the farm store for everything from organic herbs to fresh baked goods, and then head to the winery for some of Jersey’s best sips.

Head north to Heaven Hill Farm in Vernon to browse a farm market full of fresh pies, jams, jellies, local honey, ice cream and more. Stock up on flowers, trees and shrubs in the Garden Center too.

Nestled on 500+ acres in Chester, Alstede Farms has it all – U-Pick produce including berries, beans, peppers, tomatoes and peas, events, farm tours, spaces for parties, weddings and more. You can shop online too!

 

Springdale Farms in Cherry Hill grows over 35 different fruits and vegetables in the summer including spinach, squash, cabbage, peas and strawberries. The produce here is so good it’s featured on menus in many local restaurants.

In Skillman, Hidden Spring Lavender & Alpaca Farm is a farm market with a twist. You’ll find acres of calming lavender, a farmers’ market with aromatherapy items, one-of-a-kind gift baskets and culinary items made from lavender, and you’ll also get to meet (drum roll here) alpacas!

Located in Flemington, the Dutch Country Farmers Market offers one-stop shopping for farm fresh produce and foods unique to the Pennsylvania Dutch countryside. Open Thursday through Saturday.

Englishtown Auction has been a bargain hunter’s paradise for over 80 years. Stock up on antiques, collectibles, outerwear, pet supplies and more.

Another place for treasure hunters is the Golden Nugget in Lambertville - one of the Northeast’s largest antique and flea markets. Take a tip from the flea market pros and get there early!

Find a little bit of everything at Collingwood Auction & Flea Market in Farmington featuring more than 500 outdoor merchants and a 60,000-square-foot building with 100 indoor tables and booths.

Columbus Farmers Market in Columbus is your go-to for antiques, collectibles, furniture, fabrics, you name it. Find fabulously fresh produce on Produce Row. Visit Flower Row to add a dash of bloom to your landscape too.

Berlin Farmer’s Market is a South Jersey treasure and one of the oldest and largest flea markets on the East Coast. Shop indoors Thursday through Sunday or outdoors on Saturday and Sunday. Find an ever-changing selection of clothing, produce, shrubbery, leather goods and more.

New Egypt Flea Market Village is a unique shopping gem offering a wide variety of vendors in a charming location. It’s also one of the last unpaved, low-key, old-time country markets in New Jersey.

With over 80 merchants and four acres of indoor and outdoor shops to explore, the Manahawkin Flea Market has been bringing bargains to New Jersey since 1977. See what they have for you!

Put Cowtown Farmer’s Market in Pilesgrove at the top of your must-shop list. Open every Tuesday and Saturday you’ll find indoor and outdoor tables filled with bargains galore. You can also gallop over to watch the oldest weekly running rodeo in the USA – every Saturday night from the end of May through September.
