2020 MAAC Basketball Championships
The remainder of 39th annual 2020 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Basketball Championships in Atlantic City is canceled as of Thursday, March 12 at 2:30 pm. The cancelation includes all men’s and women’s tournament and championship games, eSports Championship and ancillary events.
The 2020 MAAC Basketball Championship includes both men’s and women’s basketball teams from the following 11 institutions: Canisius College, Fairfield University, Iona College, Manhattan College, Marist College, Monmouth University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter's University and Siena College.
With four consecutive wins, Iona College enters the tournament as the defending men’s champions, while Quinnipiac University’s women’s team battles to defend its title, also with a four consecutive winning streak. Look for MAAC's first eSports championships online, from March 13-14 in Overwatch, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. and Rocket League.
Fans don’t have to wait for the games to begin for fun, as MAAC will host a number of fan-favorite events between games, including the following: MAAC Spirit Squad Showcase (March 11), Postseason Awards Show (March 11), MAAC Band Jam (March 11), MAAC-n-Cheese Fest (March 13), and Bounce to Boardwalk (March 14).
