Wine, sunshine, and a little Derby flair…

The Down And Derby Wine Festival returns to Veterans Island at Cooper River Park on Saturday, May 2 for its fifth year of South Jersey wine, music, food, and festive race-day style.

Spend the afternoon sampling wines from some of the region’s best wineries, enjoying live entertainment, and showing off your best Derby hat or bow tie. With games, great food, and plenty of surprises, it’s the perfect way to celebrate spring along the Cooper River.

Festival FAQ’s

Are tickets available at the door?

General Admission tickets are only available at the door the day of the event. No VIP tickets will be sold.

Able to get a refund?
Tickets are not refundable, sorry. If the event is canceled due to weather on both the event date and rain date, tickets will be refunded.

Bring chairs, tents and coolers?
You are more than welcome to bring your own chairs, although there will have plenty of seating all around. No tents will be allowed due to space limitations. No coolers or outside food allowed. There will be plenty of food options available!

Purchase wine bottles?
Yes you can! You will be able to purchase single bottles to drink responsibly at the event. You can also take home your favorite cases of wine. Staff members will be available to assist you to your car.

Do the food trucks accept credit cards?
Most do, some do not. The festival strongly encourages you to bring extra cash so you’re not disappointed.

What if it rains?
Weather-related decisions are not made until the morning, announcements will be made via emails, social media postings and website updates.
