Find Distilleries in New Jersey

New Jersey’s storied distilling history began back in colonial times, when landowners converted surplus grain into whiskey, extra fruit into brandy and leftover sugar into rum. The state was home to nearly 400 distilleries by the 1830s, until Prohibition put a halt on the industry in 1920s, leading to a long drought of distilleries. That all changed in 2013, when the state issued its first distillery license in 94 years. Others soon followed and New Jersey is now home to more than 20 craft distilleries ready to raise your spirits.
