    Blauvelt Speaker Series is held at Grunin Center for the Arts. The Blauvelt Speaker Series is funded in part by the generosity of the late Bradford Thomas & Eleanor G. Blauvelt and The Wintrode Family Foundation.

    Dan Buettner is an explorer, National Geographic Fellow, award-winning journalist and producer and New York Times bestselling author. He discovered the five places in the world – dubbed blue zones hotspots – where people live the longest, healthiest lives.

    Stephanie Ramos is a correspondent for ABC News based in NYC. She has covered everything from the COVID pandemic, to the tragic Parkland shooting and the 2016 election.

    Emiliana Simon-Thomas, PhD is the Science Director at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center (GGSC). She runs the GGSC’s research fellowship programs and directs key initiatives like Expanding the Science and Practice of Gratitude.

    And Viet Thanh Nguyen’s remarkable debut novel, The Sympathizer, won the Pulitzer Prize, was a Dayton Literary Peace Prize winner, and made the finalist list for the PEN/Faulkner award.
